So I picked up a Ruger MkI mag...and I can't get it to fit my Ruger MkII.... are they not compatible? If they are, anyone know what I can look at to see why it isn't working? It seems like the slide to pull down the plate to help load it is on the other side....

If they aren't compatible, anyone want to trade a Ruger MkI mag for a Ruger MkII mag?

I've never done it, but other MKI/MKII owners have simply disassembled the mag and switched the button to the opposite side.

They are not compatible. Supposedly there is a way to make one work with the other
but I have never tried it. The slide is on different sides. If you would like to sell the Mk1
mag I might be interested in buying it as I have both models.

They are not compatible. I have a Ramline Mark II mag that holds about 12-13 rounds but never feeds the last one if you want it.
