S&W 19-5 Parts Refurb?

What's up NES?
I got my hands on this model 19-5. I'd like to clean her up a bit and get it back to nice nice. Question is what would you recommend to clean the trigger and hammer? Both are heavily soiled and may even show some signs of rust. Thanks

Congrats. The 19 is great handgun.Yours looks like it has the nickel finnish. Same as my first model 19 back in the 70's. Nickel is very hard to polish. Greg Derr may have the answer. Derr Precision I believe is his company name.

Nice one. If you dare to open up the gun and remove the hammer and trigger, there are lots of products to clean up crud and corrosion. Check the other steel components like springs and levers. Just FYI, the trigger and hammer are not nickeled and will never match the finish of the rest of the gun. If you look at photos of S&W revolvers on Gunbroker or youtube, you'll see the same finish on nickel, blue and stainless revolver hammers and triggers.
