Do you have a S&W Shield in .40 or have you shot the .40 SHIELD?

I have one in 9mm, but have not shot the .40 version.

a close friend of mine is interested in the .40 version.

If you have shot the .40 version, any input on how you like it... is appreciated.

Not Mine - but i spoke with another NES'r who recently had his .40 S&W Shield listed in classified section...
He seemed to like it, felt it was accurate at Self Defense distances and easy enough to shoot.
Maybe you can look it up and get some more info.
Cheers

Shot one today, I like the size. It does have some snap typical of the .40. I like the slimness and feel in the hand. I added F/O sights and a trigger job for a client.

40 review

I have a 40 cal M&P Shield that I picked up at a gun show a while back. It being a semi auto I can only like it so much.
The things I like about it....
- nice piece to carry, it rides nice iwb, slim, dependable, solid build quality, safety is very easy to pop off with the thumb upon presentation. No FTF or FTE problems. Easy to clean and put back together. Price is nice and 40 cal is respectable.
The only thing I dont like is the sights. At the range I have a problem with repeatability with my pattern. It could be me, but I find the sights hard to line up consistantly. I painted the back two dots orange and brightened up the front dot with white. That helped a bit but Im still going to have to change out the sights at some point. It serves the purpose for carry but im not as accurate with the M&P as I am with my wheel guns. Hope this helps.

I shot one recently as well. I was expecting more recoil to be honest, but it was completely fine. I even shot my fastest steel plate time with it that day.... Go figure
