I got the chance to bring the snake gun to the range for a short range time. In my range bag, I have some Remington JHP 45acp and Remington 410 2 1/2" slug shell.
Here is my initial impression with this revolver.
1. The revolver was very light. This is my first Scandium alloy gun. All my other S&W handgun/revolver is SS. When I walk out the store, the box felt so light that I had to double/triple check the box content. Overall, I like the alloy gun. Perhaps more scandium alloy gun in the coming future. Since it's so light, daily EDC possible?![Wink [wink] [wink]](/xen/styles/default/xenforo/smilies.vb/002.gif)
2. Sorry, no target picture. I can't aimed properly and my shots from 410 are all over the target
. I did much better with 45acp. I can't wait to get some 45 colt and try it out on the next range session. I test firing using both DA/SA. As usual, SA is the best since it's the lightest trigger pull. DA is similar to my other S&W revolver.
3. S&W Z frame. Thinking Z frame should be bigger than X frame? I'm absolutely wrong. The Z frame do not felt like the big brother, X frame. It's more between the N & K/L frame. Picture comparison between the X & Z frame below.
I really don't have any dislike on this revolver. I would love to get more range time with some bird/buck shot and 45LC.
