I got the chance to bring the snake gun to the range for a short range time. In my range bag, I have some Remington JHP 45acp and Remington 410 2 1/2" slug shell.

Here is my initial impression with this revolver.
1. The revolver was very light. This is my first Scandium alloy gun. All my other S&W handgun/revolver is SS. When I walk out the store, the box felt so light that I had to double/triple check the box content. Overall, I like the alloy gun. Perhaps more scandium alloy gun in the coming future. Since it's so light, daily EDC possible? [wink]
2. Sorry, no target picture. I can't aimed properly and my shots from 410 are all over the target [rolleyes]. I did much better with 45acp. I can't wait to get some 45 colt and try it out on the next range session. I test firing using both DA/SA. As usual, SA is the best since it's the lightest trigger pull. DA is similar to my other S&W revolver.
3. S&W Z frame. Thinking Z frame should be bigger than X frame? I'm absolutely wrong. The Z frame do not felt like the big brother, X frame. It's more between the N & K/L frame. Picture comparison between the X & Z frame below.

I really don't have any dislike on this revolver. I would love to get more range time with some bird/buck shot and 45LC.

My race bike is made of scandium so the tubes can be shaped easier, it's cool stuff. Thanks for the report!

I met a guy Sunday at the range that helped me with a scope. He had a new S&W Governor, was very surprised how light weight it was. Very nice looking revolver & feels better in the hand than the Judge.

So how's the Governor's kick shooting .410 slugs?

BTW, these revos are defective - they got a built-in lock[smile]

JuergenG, spoton on ILS. It's a POS. I think I'm just overseen this plague. Will try to do research on how to remove the ILS. [smile]

The 410 do have some kick. That's the reason why I didn't post my target (miss the target) [wink] The kick is not as bad as the bigger brother, X-frame. I think it's comparable to a 44 mag.

The one thing i experienced shooting the governor was how hard it was to use the moons clips. Their a pain to load and unload if you don't take advantage of a table and screwdriver. Getting them into the gun can be a pain too. I also suggest being very careful unloading the 2 round clips, Its easy to bend them by accident. The guns great, just wish the clips were made for easier use at the range.

There is a tool to make that easier. I'm sure you can find it on midway or any other online shop.
