Ok I just installed duty/carry spring kit and replaced both springs. Question is why did they give me a new firing pin with a new spring? What's the advantages of replacing it and how do you get it out?

I'm not sure why you'd replace it. Maybe lighter for use with the lighter springs? To learn how to remove the stock pin (and everything else for that matter), check out their video:

The APEX firing pin is longer than stock to ensure reliable ignition with the lighter springs.

Ahhhh ok I didn't think of that. Guess I will have to take it back apart and replace that too...
