Holy shite this thing kicks like a mule!

I shot about 30 rounds of .357 through it. My hand is numb. I was shooting from 20 ft. If I slow fired or single action fired I could keep the group within 5 inches. Rapid fire I was all over the place.

I also put 50 rounds of .38 Special through it. Much more manageable. I could control it much better with the .38.

I bought it as a carry gun because of the small size and light weight. It is not for a day at the range punching paper.

It also has a long trigger pull in double action. Would not affect you in rapid fire. I fast fired a few five shot groups and could hit a 12x12 sheet of paper from 12 feet no problem.

A tough little gun I will carry.

trying to shoot magnum loads out of a J frame should be the dictionary definition of insanity.

Too hard to get back on target for the subsequent shots IMHO

I'll take .38spl + P loads over the .357 in that configuration any day of the week.

My arthritic wrists are too old for that type of abuse

Better yet, find a used, pre-lock 2" Model 10; makes all the difference in the world and not substantially more difficult to carry.
