S&W M&P15 Not MA Compliant ???

No, I do not think it's true at all. There are plenty of S&W guys here. I'm sure they'll verify.

Go to Four Season web site and under new long guns down on the left side of the page they have a MA compliant S & W, unfortunately it says to call for availability. So they probably don't have any in stock but you never know.

Go to the S&W web site. Most (if not all) of their Mass-compliant AR's have a model name that ends in a "C". One exception is the M&P 15 FT. Unofficially, I say the "F" stands for "fixed", referring to the pinned stock.

any other dealers you would recommend ( I know FS is really busy ) Anyone own a M&P Thoughts on them ??? How about Yankee Hill Machine

do a little searching on here. TONS of info. I've been searching and reading for about a month straight now and have only scratched the surface!!!

If you listen long enough, someone will get around to telling you that .22 is a solid choice for bear hunting.

Or better yet, that 5.7 x 28 is the best stopper ever invented, on humans and grizzlies alike. [laugh]

FYI... Emailed Yankee Hill Machine about one of their listed carbine uppers, pinned/welded brake... They told me if I ordered it this week I would be waiting until at least Sept '09

glide do you mind if I ask how much they charged, and how long the wait was to recieve it ??

Either $1299 or $1399 (can't remember offhand). I happened to call on a Tuesday and they said they were expecting one the following morning. Needless to say I had them hold it for me. 1 day turnaround, a little expensive, but well worth it!

Problem Free. Though I've only put about 300 rounds through it.

Nice rifle, very light, and the buis + swat rail make it a steal.

But I guess it depends what features you are looking for...

I think the M&P15FT is the best deal going on AR's right now. You get a quality upper/lower and parts. Plus you get an LMT bolt carrier group (very good) and Troy BUIS/Rail stock. IMHO the only way to get better quality is to have one custom built to spec, or to spend $2000+ on a Larue or Noveske rifle.

You won't be disappointed with the S&W, I know I'm not, even after 1500+ rounds.

PS: Do a search, there are tons of threads asking the same question, with the same answers and most of them have pics of people's rifles.
