S&W M&P15FT: Can't remove buffer tube!

I'm trying to get the buffer tube off my M&P15, but the thing wont budge!

I am using an armorers wrench, and have not had a problem with any other AR's. Did they do something at the factory to prevent the tube/stock from being removed?

Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you have the reciever in a vise with armorers block or something similiar. To much torque can break the receiever. Try using a heat gun to warm threaded area of the tube,perhaps they used something like loctie on it.

I think both of those answers are correct. Unfortunately I don't have a vice yet...

Hit it with oil and let it sit overnight or try a hair dryer to expand things.

holding it firm in a vice is key especially if its on there good, that way your efforts dont go to waste and not to mention tool slippage which leads to marring the finish on the gun.
