Here's the S&W M&P22 at Shot Show. It's a joint venture between S&W and Walther.

Cool. I'll pick one up assuming they will be significantly cheaper than the centerfires.
Also, I don't see the notch towards the front of the slide for the take down lever... must take down differently.

Hope it's better construction and reliability than the P22. If so, I'll probably be buying one for training purposes.

Of course it will be a year or two post-release before it becomes MA-legal for Dealers to sell. [rolleyes] [thinking]

I agree. I've heard that it's built by Walther on an M&P 9/40 size frame and might retail in the upper $ 300's.

Since it has a thumb safety and will have a 10 round mag SKU at launch (the report I saw said 10s or 12s) they just need to test it and get it on the EOPS roster. This can happen pretty fast, as evidenced by the bodyguard line.

. . . and the M&P 45c is just a shortened M&P 45 frame and we've seen how rapidly that has made the EOPS List . . . NOT! [thinking]

We'll see! When I see it published on the EOPS List, then I'll be a "believer" and not before then.
