Awesome!
I used to hate nickel but it's almost growing on me now.
I'm watching some on GB right now. I've never really done that before so I don't know what to expect. They might jump like crazy the last minute.

There were a bunch floating around not too long ago, well "loved" police turn in's, maybe from AIM or Summit Gun Broker (??), I think I saw them listed from. Cost was pretty cheap too, but all were 4" bbl's. I've dealt with Summit before, pretty cool guy.

Enjoy.

Forgot to add: Made in 1959 or 1960. No shortage of holster wear, but it shoots VERY well.

Good god I need one of these.
I don't know if I'm going to want a pencil or a heavy. I figure I'll get one of each.
I'll look into aim and summit.

Is that what a victory is? Parked?

If I understand your question correctly, a Victory model is a M&P Model 1905 4th Change (the pre-war pre-Model 10) that was produced during WWII for the military and our allies, primarily the Brits and some other Commonwealth countries. It was called the Victory model because of the V-prefix to the serial number. May have also been some wartime PR name.

You can read more here:

Yes, the Victory is parked. The grips are different as well, as shown in ranger's post; his is a really nice example.

A pencil barrel looks "right," IMO. Though obviously I'm biased.

I have a s&w model 10-5, it was actually my very first gun purchase almost two years ago. I love revolvers more than anything, so I'm glad such a venerable model was my first buy.

Picture added!

Everyone should have a Model 10. I have two and if another one came along in a variation that I wanted, I'd have three. There are people who collect Model 10s and related products. I also have a Model 18, which is a 22LR version of the Model 15. Which in turn is an adjustable sight version of the Model 10.

Like my M-10's, got an old snubby, a 3" and a 4"....... I'd get a pic of the snubby, but it's hidden somewhere and I don't want to wake up the wife... [grin]

Is that one of those Australian police guns that were converted to DAO?

Good question... no idea where it came from, but it is DAO. I saw it in the display case at G&GP... and had to have it... It's one of my favorites. I really like the 3" revolvers, have a pile of them in all kinds of models... 10, 24, 36, 60, 65, 66, 317, 325, 629 and more..

I hate you! [wink] I see pictures of three inch K frames everywhere, but can never find one in a store. A Model 10, Model 13, 64 or even a 65. Nope, can't find them. A break can not be had.

nice!

i just saw a pic of a chopped S&W 1917 brazilian contract that looked great. I think i'm going to find one and have it chopped to just past the ejector rod. The icing on the cake was the dark wood grips and a set of tyler t grips on it. it really made it all come together sweet.
i need one of them now too.
god i love S&W revolvers

It hasn't been easy, when I've seen them at the right price... I had to hit em quick... I think I have a few more I didn't list, I have one called The Bounty Hunter, 44mag.. really neat. most of the other ones are Performance Center, also got a bunch of neet 2.5" ones.. 19, 66, 686...
