I love my M&P, I was looking at the Colt 901-16s because it was a .308. Its just so expensive and that was before the panic. Do you guys think the S&W will be MILSPEC like the Colt is?
I will definitely be in for one of these. Largest caliber I have now is .223 and it is time for the .308 big boy. Hopefully they will have something available in Mass (S&W has been pretty good about Mass compliance).

The more major manufacturers that get behind the 308 AR, the better. Being a lefty I really like the all ambi controls from S&W, too. Any mention of whether it matches other companies uppers/lowers?

I hope it is DPMS pattern, I have been sitting on a LR308 lower for a while now just waiting for something reasonably priced to catch my eye.

to be honest if the only real gripe he had was the trigger group, big whoop! this is a very nice gun for the money, the buffer is probably beat because they test the shit out of these things before they send em out.
