Just picked up my new shield and took it to the range for the first time, I consider myself a very good shooter with a keen eye.

But this Shield has got me confused, from 20 - 25 feet have no idea where my bullets are hitting. I am having an extremely difficult time just
trying to get a few rounds on paper.

Is this common for this firearm ?

Any suggestions from those who own one ?

When I bring shooters the have trouble hitting the target ill use a larger target like a 100 yard rifle target and move it closer and work your way out

If you have a sand or dirt berm, put a target there and shoot a few rounds at it. At least you'll see the splash. Other than that, get a full size target and put it 7 yards away or so.

Let someone else give it a try. If it shoots fine for someone else at least you can eliminate the pistol as a cause. I have seen that happen before on the range where one person is cursing his new pistol and cannot get a decent group, then another person tries it and does great. Never know.

I can't wait to do my trigger, the stock trigger is very heavy and makes you really have to concentrate to make good shots.

All the previous suggestions are very good to determine cause.

Also, maybe it doesn't like the ammo you are using. You could try some different ammo.

Start with your targets close (7 yards) then work further away.

I was off the mark a bit at first with mine. Loosened up my grip, and all was fine.
