Has anyone heard of the website and is it legitimate? Alternatives for high quality swords… other than Cold Steel from MidwayUSA? [Sorry Larry, I still love you big guy!]

Any resources and reviews are greatly appreciated, thank you everyone.

I haven't heard of the website before, but their prices are inline for modern "combat" katanas. This isn't a bad thing.

A "High quality sword" means different things to different people and it's been a while since I was in the market for one. Dragon's Breath forge typically charges about 5 grand for a hand-forged historical replica. Valiant Armoury does some great European swords at around the $1500 price point. Project X is currently offering custom made katanas starting at $1000. All of these are 100% legit. Makers like Katana King produce a perfectly reasonable "cutter" for around $500, but you'll have fewer options and the fit and finish may be a step down.

Only 4 available right now and expensive, full length magnacut.

Sign up for updates from them as they typically put out drops of survival swords, also in magnacut, for around $1K and up depending on length of blade.

@Rocky Mosasaurus , I haven’t looked into this store specifically, but in the past when researching companies before buying, I’ve often found that anything with “.(dot) store” attached is a dead giveaway for Chinese rip off and/or fakes.
Assuming you aren't looking for antiques, check out Paul Chen swords.
Thanks, fellas! I held off because I wasn’t feeling great about the domain name as well. Will definitely check both of those shops out (Cams’ one too), thank you both kindly.

Welcome. If you are looking for a new katana capable of cutting rolled tatami mats etc, Paul Chen is a solid choice.

I love that blade and some of those other oddball double-edged daggers. They look like something a cult leader would use to initiate a blood ritual…totally wild. Then who could forget those bowie knives. Yep, those guys make some pretty incredible stuff. I’ll have to get my finances in order and consider something from them.

Still have to check out Paul Chen but that’s next on my list.

Looks like Hanwei / Paul Chen are generally what one would look for in terms of authenticity

Bonus: the site also has a badass highland broadsword for pre-order:

They have a short list

And also their own store

Hanwei spotted here:

I was always under the impression that CAS Hanwei was cheap Chinese wall hangers. Have they improved their quality at all over the last decade? Lot of complaints about their QC.

That's certainly the drawback of this more commonly found product, they've been around a long time and I'm not even sure which vendor to trust at the moment having little to no purchase experience with the items.
