scoping my target pistol

I have a Ruger MkII Comp Target Mod (slab-side/stainless) & would like to scope it for benchrest/small game. Any/all suggestions are appreciated.

I would not go above 2 power . Handgun scopes magnify your movement and above 2 power they are hard to shoot very well. Leupold makes really nice pistol scopes . Thats what i have on my 22 conversion. Also i have a Burris pistol scope very nice as well . Dont get a Bushnell pistol scope i was very unhappy with mine and for what i paid for it i could almost have bought a Leupold.

I have a Tasco Pro Point red dot on my Smith 22A, on the bench I get one hole at 50ft.

I am quite happy with my 1.5 power in a clamp-type mount. Because I can see through the mount, I use the "iron sights" (which are really fiber optic in front) for the ludicrous 25 foot events and the scope for the 50-foot events.

Thanks to all who responded. I checked out a wide variety and settled on a Simmons ProHunter 2x model. I'll play with it this weekend.
p.s. might have to get a red dot next.
