Someone told me that some O/U shotguns have a selectable extractor or ejector.

I think it was one of the fancier Lanbers, but I forget which one.

It's hard to search for that stuff on the 'net 'cuz so many people conflate "extractor" and "ejector" Lots and lots of pages of people using them interchangeably.

First of all, most O/Us will eject the spent hull and only extract/raise an unfired shell. However I assume you are talking about extracting or ejecting spent shells.
I know that on Citoris and Cynergies, you can switch the gun from ejecting the shells to extracting them, but you have to take the gun apart a bit. But it seems easy enough ( especially the Cynergy) but that is the only gun I have heard that you can perform such a switch.
In terms of selecting it on the fly- I don't think it exists.

Yes, exactly.

Right on. Thanks.

I wish the manufacturers were better at listing such features. Or maybe I'm not reading the literature carefully enough.

Incidentally extracting is much better for the gun. Browning will actually tell you how to do the switch and recommend that you do the switch. But they still send them out the door set up to eject.
