I acquired this Shiloh 50/90 a while back and have not shot it as much as I intended. It belonged to a well known long range shooter. The front sight was low which made it good way out there, but at 100 yards it shot high even at the lowest rear sight setting. I finally got around to installing a taller Lee Shaver globe front sight. Yesterday I hit the range to sight it in. I started with a 700 gr roundnose from an NEI mold designed by Dave Higgenbotham over 95 grs of Swiss 1.5 with SPG lube. The target photo below shows the first 10 shots. Started slightly high then lowered it and moved to the right. Then 5 shots touching. About the best these old eyes can do at 100 yards. I fired another 50 rounds with similar results. I am pleased with this. Next time it is out to 200 yards. This rifle has a 16 lb bull barrel so recoil is pretty mild. Still I did wear a shoulder pad.
