Shield 9MM night sights reccomendations?

Hey guys, I'm about to get the apex kit installed on my shield 9mm, but I figured while having that done to also replace the sights.

Any recommendations?

I'm leaning towards the trijicon HD night sights: https://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product3.php?pid=SA137O

but cant find any review of them as they seem very new...

Do the install yourself, it's easy enough. Do the AEK trigger, too. Took me about an hour watching the video. The trigger really completes the feel.

+1 on the Ameriglos. Put a set on my shield when I did the Apex kit

I had my trigger and night sights installed by Lou at Business End Customs at the time he was out of night sights for shields but he recommended Ameriglo and I couldn't be happier.

why do people go with night sights? If you cant see the guy in front of you then whats the use..(sarcasm)

Cause when I open the drawer in the dark I know right where to grab. The glow is very distinctive.

I like the idea of having one dot on the back sight. I had the 3 dot HD's on my glock 19.

Is it easier to zone in on your target with those?

I used Ameriglo night sights that have trijicon inserts in my Shield and 45c. Three dot with the orange front.

is the big dot taller than the stock sight? Any idea if it would change the shape and not fit into it's current kydex holster?

i was thinking this w/ the ameriglos i got, the sights seem to be slightly taller than stock, only kydex i have is an aliengear and it wasnt an issue
