Found myself a MA acceptbale toy in NH. Got the ok from MA shop to transfe, call NH and was told ok, but we need a copy of the shops ffl license. Is this normal, meaning is it normal if I ask the MA shop for this? Trasnferred twice from out of state and never been told this before and am unsure. Thinking of just saying the heck w it if its a lot of work..but its a nice looking toy and cheeaap

It is normal, the sending FFL needs to be certain he is sending to another FFL, so copied and numbers of FFL will be verified.

Normal. Depends how particular the store in NH is. You can either A) give the NH store the phone contact info and have the NH store call the MA store for their FFL directly or B) have the MA store fax their FFL info to the NH store's FAX number. Ask the NH store how they want to do it.

In the event the shipping FFL doesn't ask for the other's FFL, it usually means they've done business previously, and the other party's license is already on file.

Normal. Typically the FFL's will exchange papers on their own. Most are very protective (understandably) with their license and will not give it to you to give to them.

Verification could easily be done via the on-line FFL Ez-Check.

The "signed FFL on file" requirement (fax copy acceptable) is due to a BATFE mandate.
