My son lives in CA and is likely of the age of many of the victims. He often attends concerts and goes to bars. Please teach your kids situational awareness. They live in a different world than I did growing up. Know where the exits are, check your six often, and don't ever be afraid to profile.

Thousand Oaks gunman was 29, drove mother's car to bar before silently opening fire, source says - Los Angeles Times

Authorities have not disclosed the suspect’s name, but a law enforcement source told The Times that he was 29-year-old man armed with a Glock .45 handgun and some type of smoke device.

He drove his mother’s car to the attack and said nothing upon entering the bar, the source said.

The gun was purchased in Ventura County, the source said.
