Shot a .500 Nitro !

Just thought I'd document what was a big day for me.

Shot a .500 Nitro in a Heym Double followed by a .460 Weatherby, both for the first time.

The .460 Weatherby looks like a monster. Do you know what the load specs are on that round you fired?

The .460 Weatherby was a 500 grain FMJ at 2700 fps...and felt it...noticeably more recoil than the .500 Nitro, plus the rifle was a pound or two lighter.

I shot a .577 nitro express out of a double rifle. 560 gn bullet going 1990 fps by my chrony. I shot one, once and unless charged by a elephant will never again
