Shot my 1956 Browning today

Used my new shooting glasses today with my SA22. I haven’t shot it in ages due to my shitty eyes. But the new glasses has got my breaking out all my open sight rifles! The old girl still shoots great! 8 shots @ 25 yards offhand.

I go to Leeds on RT 9. They have a new optical department that is pretty nice. Lots of construction going on making it a pain to navigate the premises but you can’t beat the price and the eye Doc is a decent guy. BTW, it has been the same Doc for years. That SA is a 1956, first year import with a 4 digit SN!

Right on. Love it.
I know a lot of older than me shooters who wouldn't be able to shoot anymore if it weren't for the great advancements in eye correction methods. I'm 43 and knock on wood I still see like a hawk but I know that'll change someday.

It is a pretty big place. Some people call it the Northampton VA, but actually it is in Leeds. Easy to find, about 2 miles from Northampton center on RT 9.
