I am the original owner of a 220 purchased in 1995. It's marked "germany" and then elsewhere stamped "exiter, nh." Is my gun made in germany? or the parts are made in germany and the gun was assembled in nh? Any sig experts out there that can answer this? I know, I know....didn't do a search.....

Here's a Calguns discussion.

ETA: My 226 was manuf. in W. Germany and says so on the right side of the slide next to the serial number.

ETA2: and here's the Highroad discussion.

It looks like there were some US assemblies that included German parts.

ETA3: One final note. My 226 was imported by Sigarms while it was in Herndon, VA.
That's stamped on the left side of the slide.

Sigarms is now in Exeter and the stamping may just indicate that it was imported by them there.
