FIRST QUESTION:

It seems that every time I shoot my Sig 556, the first 20 rounds or so sound "normal" - a nice linear and quick pop sound. After about 20 rounds, each round seems to make a big "boom" sound.

Is this because the barrel and forend are hot (temperature wise) after the first several rounds?

SECOND QUESTION:

There is a massive flash coming off the end of that barrel. Is there anything I can add to reduce the flash that is NOT an evil "flash suppresor"

THIRD QUESTION:

How often do you clean this rifle (not the bore, but the bolt carrier group, etc)?

Thanks!

1. Do you need to adjust the gas valve? I have never heard of this except for variation in ammo.

2. That is the normal muzzle flash/blast. Use a flash hider or muzzle break.

3. After everytime you use it... Dont getme wrong, I am not talking about a hardcore cleaning, but the basic simple cleaning of the major areas should be done after every use.
