Hi everyone I am kinda new to the forum and looking for some input. I currently own a Sig P225 with a Greg derr trigger job and I enjoy the gun. But the catch is everytime I go to the range I just end up shooting my 9c the whole time because it's my carry pistol. Also it kinda bothers me that the 225 only holds 8rds vs my 10 of the M&P. I'm currently thinking about selling or trading the 225 for a FS 9 M&P. Kinda looking to see what people think about this. Thanks for the imput in advance

Haven't handled an M&P in 9mm but I do own a 225 and I think it would be easier to conceal as it is a somewhat smaller 9mm pistol and the 2 less rounds should be that much of a disadvantage.

I'm also looking into the X Grip from M&P to feel more like a full size for range use and use the small mags with the finger extension to carry. The M&P 9c is a little smaller and easier for me to conceal cause im only 5'8 and 160

Sigs are nice but they are heavy. I really like the M&P, good price point too. Also very easy to work on and there is a good market for custom parts as compared to Sig.

My one issue with the M&P design is that you have to remove the rear dovetail sights in order to gain access to the plunger and springs. Seems a bit of an oversight in the design (unlike a Glock). Otherwise the M&P is what I would recommend.

I used to own one of pretty much every model in the SIG lineup (220, 228, 229, 239, 225). I think that selling the 225 was the biggest mistake I made. It was one of the nicest shooting pistols I have ever owned.

M&P's are a dime a dozen, and they are making more each day. 225's not so much. Keep the 225.

Which one do you shoot better with? Keep that and dump the other one.

The only gun I regret selling was my P6, which is identical to a P225.

I would NOT trade that for a M&P. I owned a M&P 9c and do not regret selling it

It depends on your preferences. I really wanted to like my Sig P6. I could never get used to the DA/SA trigger. I don't mind a long heavy trigger, I just want it to be the same every time. I sold it and I have 4 M&P's. If I ever get another Sig it will likely be a DAO model.
