I have had my eye on a sig p227 for a little while but never had a chance to handle one... Wondering if they are any good... Whatcha think?

What's not to like about a P220 with moar bullets?? Every review I've seen agrees it's a winner.

1 question. Do you like the sig 226??

If so stop thinking about it and buy it, you will love it

If not , then skip

If your intent includes ccw, know that it's a fat bastard with a full length grip in all flavors.

ETA:

Compared to a P226 w/E2 grips, the P227 is nearly the same fit, just slightly thicker. Compared to a P220 Equinox, the P220 felt more bulky to grasp. Compared to a P220 Elite with Hogue Piranha grips, the P220 feels nice but thinner.

For me, the P227 feels solid & shoots very well with a single-handed hold. The P220 Elite feels like it prefers two hands. The P226 feels lighter, but still fills the hand well.

One major difference with the P226/P227 with E2 grips, vs the P220, is my thumbs high & forward grip puts my thumb close to the slide lock lever on the thinner P220.

My brother loves his. I've thought about it. Plus they're coming it with 14 rounds mags. Sorry for you ma guys though.

I have one and I put it right up there with one of the best I have ever owned. Very accurate, sights are great in day or night. I have put thru about 500 rounds of my homemade 230 grainers and not a single problem. Extra mags were a hassle until I found out the Sig P250 full size mag will work with some minor tweeking. You just have to cut off a quarter inch of plastic off the base. Have 3 of them now, takes about 1 minute for the entire procedure and they work flawlessly. It carrys well, feels great in the hand and fires the 10 plus 1 in about 5 seconds. I added the SRT on mine because I really like their triggers. Installed myself thanks to You Tube. This gun is going to do well.
