Great shooter, but it is heavy, expensive and has an exposed hammer. If any of those things bother you.
There are cheaper/lighter backups out there.

...only 11 ish ounces - less than my Ruger LCR composite wheel gun - which I sometimes carry on ankle as a backup. I agree, the p238 is a GREAT shooter. The sights are outstanding. I think they are a Tru-glo style fiber optic/night sight. Sig calls the sights "siglite." Personally, I've never carried a hammer-exposed pistol. I carry a kahr pm9 and a walther pps both with one in the chamber... They are both double action, though. I only had my hands on it for six rounds. Does it go from double action on the first round to single action on subsequent rounds?

oh.. a bug in an ankle holster... practice practice practice - empty empty empty. An LEO friend says that he would fall on his backside while simultaniously drawing. I've seen others squat forward with the leg while drawing and pulling up your hem. It's definitely one of the most difficult draws. You need to have loose khakis or something with a wide cuff. No-boot leg jeans, etc. I will pull my sock OVER the lower end of the holster for more concealment. I was once discovered at work when someone caught a glimpse of leather on my ankle... not good. Now, I almost always pocket carry in a holster or in an inside the waistband crosstuck at 5:00 oclock with a sweater. Thin is the key for not printing and going for deep concealment.
