I had a "pull the bang stick and nothing happens" failure with a P938.


Kind of an odd situation.  The firing pin block is a spring loaded cylinder held captive by the rear sight (so it's not something that comes out on a regular basis).  It's up in the slide right by the firing pin, so it's in the "keep oil away from the firing pin" zone.   After several thousand rounds, it froze in the depressed position due to accumulation of soot.  The depressed position is the "safe" position (pulling the trigger moves an extractor stud that holds it up, allowing the piston to move down and release the firing pin).  Needed to continually flush the area with solvent to free it up.  Real PITA.
