Sig Sauer 1911 TTT

I picked one up a couple months ago. I got the xo for the nitron finish and grips. Feels great and shoots excellent when its not jammed up with a FTF. I've only put 150rnds through it but it hasn't broken in. I think the problem is the mags but I'm unsure. Still waiting to buy new ones. One time I slammed a new mag in with the slide locked open. The round shot right out of the mag and into the air.

I have had a sig 1911 nitron rail for a year and it has been perfect. I'm more accurate with it than any of my other pistols.

I have a sig target nitron finish... Got alot FTF's until I used Wilson Mags.. But it was also less than 100rds when I was having the issues. The gun probably has 200 rounds thru it now and I have no problems.

I bought a TTT off a member here and I love it!!!! No issues short of a sticky slide stop. I bit of sand paper and a few min and its now perfect! Only other issues are holsters, the different slide profile makes it unique, but a few min with a dremel on my kydex holster and its perfect.

It's my new go to gun for IDPA. If I shoot at the Bourne IDPA tomorrow, it will be on my hip!

No feeding or ejection issues with a variety of Mags (knock on wood).

For the kydex holster, perhaps a hair dryer might work better if you apply a bit of heat. I have done this before and it worked great for me rather than sanding.

also considering a sig but not a ttt. Seems like the issues are across the board not just with ttt. Anybody got a long term, lots of rounds analysis?

No, my holster had two raised lines (one on each side) on the inside going down. They had to be removed for the slide to fit correctly. Basically I had to make the inside profile smooth. The raised lines were approx .050" ea. high.

Sorry fir my late reply but hope you did well if you shot.

Thanks GENTS and or Ladies.

I had my TTT for about 4 months now and to be honest I am pleased with it not dazzled or thrilled. About 550 rounds through it, various bullet weights and types ZERO issues/NONE. Not going to get too deep into it and bore anyone.

Three complaints are the trigger and the odd shape the slide has on all it's 1911's and the weird rear sight. I am really trying to like the weapon and bebating doing some upgrades.

I bought my TTT at four seasons the weekend before the election. Also got a AA 22lr target upper conversion kit. Great gun. Eats everything I've fed it. Oem mags didn't lock back after last round, but WC mags work fine.
I got a holster from Theis, and it's custom molded on a sig 1911.

Yeah, sorry, I shot it at a range, then a three gun... No issues. I did not make the IDPA, but I have rounds through it prior. I made the mistake of trying a new gun (I never shot it) once at a competition (see all my Para rants), it failed (but I had a backup)

Can you be sure your finger wasn't on the trigger? As a test I've slammed a mag into my M&P9c with the action open and it's closed on me. I did that after reading a thread on this board a month or so ago. I was careful to keep my booger hook off the bang lever. It doesn't slam closed every time though. I haven't tested this on my 1911. I think this is why many NYPD stations have clearing barrels (Rifle Clearing Barrel ? Emergency-Clear safety beyond 50 BMG Api).

Ok Ladies and GENTS, what are you running for a holster for this pretty nifty piece of steel. IWB or OWB. Composite, leather Kydex etc.

I don't have the model number handy, but I had to modify my OWB Kydex Blackhawk holster (not a serpa). It had two thin internal rails inside, a few min with a Dremel and some sandpaper and it was perfect. I only use the TTT for range stuff...

I have the railed SSS (1911RM-45-SSS) version. Got a super iwb holster from Kelleys Gun Leather.

I shot a friends TTT last weekend. Very nice piece of hardware. SIG 1911's (not the traditional line) have that crazy slide profile etc. so finding a decent holster for them is a chore. I think I lucked out with Kelleys. One of my favorite leather iwb's.

I was thinking of getting a 1911 RCS , but if there are things you don't like then by all means upgrade to your heart , and wallets , content.
