was looking into getting one of these sigs, they are on the approved roster list for MA, I called four seasons and they said its not MA compliant?? does anyone know if i can own this is MA. Budsgunshop.com has them selling for $394.00 which seems like a very good deal. If its not MA compliant can i buy it online have it shipped to FFL and transfer it to my name I thaught thats what MA residents could do if they wanted a new gun they liked out of state.

An FFL will not transfer it to you. You'd need to find a MA resident who owns one, is willing to sell it, and who'll do it FTF.

Edit: Plus, you'd be looking at the neutered CA version, since (I'm assuming) there are no preban hi-cap mags available (original 2340 variant was only introduced in 1998).

Yes, 2022s are MA compliant now, or so they appear to be, or at least dealers are willing to sell them openly which is all that really matters.

You seem to know a lot about the polymer framed guns. Is this one worth considering? I'm a big fan of sig but have heard a lot of negative reviews about their polymer lines.

I currently own the 2022 and have put a lot of round through it. I have not had a single issue with it, it has feed a wide variety of different ammo and is as accurate as I have come to expect from Sig Sauer.

Save yourself the headache and get an SW M&P...the 2022s have had a lot of repair issues and have horrible triggers and weird ergonomics. Get the SW and get a trigger job and you're GTG!

As a guy who really likes Sigs and has owned a Sig Pro, I would not recommend it.

What Jason and DRFtraining said....

It's better than the P250 but that really isn't saying much, since that thing is more or less a turd that happens to launch bullets. At that price level you are far better off with a Glock or an M&P. Even in MA, .40 S&W Glocks can be had on the cheap, if you really want a .40.

FS just posted the SP2022 in 9mm on their website for $399 with night sights. It looks like a great gun. If anyone has one please let us know how it shoots because they could be a hot seller.

I just picked one up and have 100 rounds through it with no issues. I love it so far and I'm already looking forward to getting back to the range with it. I was a little concerned about the balance and feel in my hands, based on the polymer design, but if anything it feels more balanced and very ergonomic. It is very accurate, at least as accurate as my brothers Sig P239 as far as I can tell. It also appears to be selling pretty good, FS sold out the same day as that deal.

I pick one up yesterday at FS, last one .....it's basically the same as the Sig SP 2009 that was available a few years ago...for the 400 bucks it's a great buy..comes with a extra grip, nite sights... it comes in a cardboard box not the standard Sig plastic case..not a big deal and One magazine...which kinda of sucks...I don't get this 1 magazine shit Sig does now.....but overall this is a real good buy....and the trigger is just as good (SA/DA) as the standard P series Sigs....

I have a Sig 2022 in 9mm have fed it over a 1000 rounds of all kinds of ammo does not like reloads but runs great with wwb. Bought it last year still new to shooting can not comment on its accuracy but I'm taking a private lesson tomorrow at mass firearms school and will find out. I believe I have seen this in .40 at idc firearms in Clinton

I have the SP2022 in 9mil and it is a sweet shooting price of gun! Forget the M+P.... Go with confidence and grab the Sig! You won't regret it!

I've put over 800 rounds in the last two weekends via my SP 2022 9mm. I love this pistol, aims well, runs well, and very well balanced.

I've put close to 700 or so rounds through my SP2022 9mm since I got it in June. It shoots every type of ammo without a single failure. Bright night sights on it, fits perfectly in my hand, accurate, and only $400. It is a great gun made even better by the price.
