I grew up in Oklahoma. We made crossbows in 7th grade wood shop. Nobody got killed.

Yep, I also bought a really nice switchblade that a kid's brother brought back from Italy when he was in the military.

Poo, Moo & Wah just got charged with breach of peace by slingshot (among other things) last week. They were 'hunting' birds & turtles in a Springfield city park.

They spoke a Burmese dialect so obscure they had to get an interpreter by telephone. Imagine fleeing from Buddhist persecution in Myanmar just to be resettled in downtown Springfield. They'd have better chances of survival back home.

Patty Poo and Kehney Moo went to get some meat for stew,
along the way Hsa Wah saw them and asked if he could join too!
14 pigeons, 2 turtles and 3 frogs later, along came the cops to ruin their fun.
They thought real hard and decided not to run, Surely the cops wouldn't trouble them for having some fun!
Who could their antics and small game hunting hurt?
The cops were quick to ascertain and explain, how they could cause harm with their little game,
Perhaps an adult or child would get hit by their slingshot, if only they had given this hunting trip some forethought!
Oh well, it's too late for them to rethink or abort,
Wah, Moo and Poo are heading to Springfield District Court.

I have a Heinkel switchblade that my grandfather's friend took off a dead German officer. I didn't realize that I could bring it into MA legally as long as I didn't carry it. My grandfather ran an electric motor factory (US Motors in West Haven, CT) and was not allowed to enlist once they found out what he did.

Air cannons are legal.
If you are shooting them off in your neighborhood, or causing damage, them you will be charged with a destructive device. It depends on how and where you are using it.
I have used my air cannons in MA, CT, NY, VT and NH with LEO's showing up because of the noise. As long as you are not breaking noise ordinance or causing damage to private property, you are in the clear.
Every time a LEO shows up the conversation leads to a grin and "Can I try it?".

believe it or not i was arrested a long time ago for possesion of a wrist rocket...yes a few windows were comprimised and i had to replace them lol... soon after any windows or any damage that was done in the town the police would try and blame me for.. the dumb things we did in our childhood...lol
