I tried to do a search on the S&W 500 and did not find anything. Does anyone else have or shoot one?

I went to the range for the first time with mine. I have the es500 model in 2-3/4" barrel. Initial impression was holy sh#t. My comparison is a .44 mountain gun. I only loaded one round took a firm and stance, sited in, cocked the hammer, and Boom. The target could not been seen through the muzzle flash and low and behold dead on bullseye at 30 feet. I know that is close but I was not sure what to expect with the short barrel. By the way I love my mountain gun but there really is no comparison. The mountain gun I could shoot all day and this beast I put 15 rounds through it and definitely felt it. Thats all I had or I would have shot some more.

Do a search for Eddie Coyle and nuclear, you'll find something [grin]. I imagine he'll be along eventually.

I've shot one, a while ago. The guys at the rental range I was at asked me if I had ever fired one before, upon my negative he said "load one and hold on"

Fun gun, I hope to get one of my own someday.

I just went to the range with some other rounds Magtech 325gr semi jacketed. Decent round not quite the kick of the corbon. Two things I realized; first this is a really nice revolver and second I better figure out this reloading thing. I moved out to about 50 feet and still hitting the target where I aim the gun. Next I will experiment at 75 feet. I am no marksman so for a 2-3/4 barrel these are results I am happy with.
