"Smooth rifle"

I was cruising the YHM website and they offer smooth ARs. What are they talking about?

I think they're just talking about the fact that the handguard has no ribbing.

I have an AR with a good amount of their stuff on it (including the smooth carbine forearm) and I enjoy it a lot. The lower and upper are Stag.

"Smooth" can also refer to the upper reciever. I have a DPMS "Lo Pro" upper which has no forward assist or ejection port cover. This makes for a very "smooth" upper reciever when compared to the stock AR.

I have several YHM componenents and some experience dealing with the country and all I can say is, great components, crappy company. In other words, I really like the metal. It's well built and good looking. The customer service is spotty (I've heard this from other people as well).
