Soft baits for fishing

Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has used any of the soft baits available for fishing pan fish.??
I recently seen a video on it and looked like something i might be interested in trying. I have always used wax worms or spikes. A rapala minnow of course on a jigging rod but, never any baits.
So has anyone out there had good luck with the blood worms or other soft baits ??

I used super small jig heads with the little curly tailed rubber things you can get on Amazon with huge success for crappie. I also would tie synthetic hairs to them from my fly tying stuff. Was also deadly.
