Some assembly required

Even with sights (you need a pusher), you can assemble a slide rather quickly. I have the Brownell's slides. The funniest part of hte videos about slides is them trying to get the firing-pin-channel liner. Not sure if Brownell's manf's them oversized or what, but they just drop in.

Second most complex is the firing pin assembly. Still not that hard.

That damned frame. I HATE assembling frames in comparison. LOL.

Yep, it took me about 10 minutes, and that included swapping out the sights for a set of Warren Tacticals.
I had the firing pin already assembled, those little cups are damn near as bad as the takedown springs in AR's - they fly away.

Why wouldnt it run?

Not sure I understand your question.
This was a stripped slide that came in yesterday's mail from Ebay.
I put the internals into it, slapped it on a frame I had and took it to the range to make sure it functioned and that the sights I put on it were good.

So, no reason for it not to run - but it needed to be tested.
