WTS: Spencer 1865/1871 Infantry Rifle with original bayonet 56/50. In 1871 there were 1108 Spencer carbines that were refurbished at the Springfield Armory. These were beat up carbines that saw service in the Civil War. They installed new full length rifle barrels and new wood. The action still has the original saddle rings as was typical on the carbines. Oddly by the time they were outdated and were never issued. They were put in storage. Here is a great example. Overall condition is good to very good. Bore is excellent. Comes with issued bayonet. Also comes with a modern drop in center-fire breech block and magazine tube. Starline makes modern center fire brass.
