Springfield Armory Loaded PX9104LP

i have a Smith and Wesson SW1911PD that has the Scandium Alloy Frame. I'm not a big fan of this gun. after shooting it compared to my Kimber Grand Gaptor and my Taurus PD1911AR it isn't the first 1911 i grab on the way to the range. I won't buy another alloy framed 1911.

Anyone have one of these or any experience with? I picked up an EMP and it just had an awesome feel in my hand but I absolutely refuse to buy a 9mm for my first 1911...

What's the big deal? You like it? Get it. Don't let macho-ness get in the way of you buying a gun you want [slap] [grin]

I have plenty of 9mm's...I want a traditional 1911 not because I think that 9mm is inadequate but because I feel a 45 acp 1911 is just the right thing... I am looking more for info on the particular model, not a heated discussion on the benefits/shortfalls of the 9mm

Damn! I thought this was another 9mm vs 45ACP thread - we need more of those....[slap]

I have not seen this gun, but perhaps others have. I did read a review of this piece and it was pretty positive. I'm not sure where you are located, but perhaps call other dealers, to see if they have one in stock? Good luck with your search...

Found this on the firing line

Now the biggest thing is if you live in MA your choices for a 1911 are pretty limited given the AG regs and such.

A lot on the board speak well of the S&W 1911 and not sure, but heard the Sig GSR. The man to really talk to is Greg Derr, the man is a wizard with the 1911 and knows a lot about them. He is a great 1911smith and knows a lot of the 1911.
