I have not posted much. Finally with warmer weather I am getting to the range. I loaded up some rounds for my Springfield 1866 Trapdoor 50/70. Cast a 450 gr soft lead boolit sized to .517 and lubed with SPG over 65 grs of Swiss 1.5 black powder, a .030 wad and a slight compression. First target is 10 shots at 100 yards and second target is 20 shots at same range. Rifle hits 12" high and about 3" to the left do a little Kentucky windage involved.

She is one of my most prized. I had some video from the range but since took all of anything related off YT... stinks.

These pics show the broken ejector spring, since replaced. My only BP rifle too.

God bless the soldiers that trudged around with these!

Congrats on your fine piece.
