I've been looking to join a club that is in my area. I was a member of Ames Rifle and Pistol but it's a bit more of a ride since I moved to Middleboro. I was wondering how many members are here on the forum and how they like the club. A co-worker may also join the club. Thanks

There are TWO clubs in Middleboro. Depending on where you are...you could be closer to Acushnet than Standish as well.

I can't seem to find a thread discussing the club recently. I thought it was another club with the "No women" policy? I read that thread earlier but can't remember the one.

Len, you must be thinking of the thread discussing Somerset. I'm not a member of Standish, but I checked them out closely a while back and women were welcome. In fact, their home page says "The Standish Sportsman’s Association is always looking for sportsmen and women who would like to join our ranks."

Anarchy, Taunton Rifle & Pistol is an excellent club as well and depending on where in Middleboro you are, it may be a bit closer to you. I live about the same distance between both and joined Taunton because I liked the facilities better. Standish is a more social club though if that's what you prefer.

Standish is a great little club. I've been a member for a year now,
and prefer there over Holbrook.(also a member)
I mostly shoot Sunday there and alot of the time I have to open the gate, seeing there's no one there.
There are not many members, 250 I think, but working on getting more. Good luck, it took me YEARS to get in. Now I'm in and ain't going anywhere.
