Steyy Scout

I have been thinking about setting up a steyr scout for a moderate range 308 sniper rifle. I was wondering if any one has any experience with these. First if they are any good. Second how much i should expect to spen. Third anyone have one?

I keep forgetting about the Steyr Scout! I've wanted one for a long time, but when my mind finally gets to wandering about long-range guns, it usually focuses on rifles more in my price range.

Probably happens to everybody.

However, after shooting my first AR yesterday and already hearing about Jose's gun that he procurred from snipercentral, I may not have a practical "use" for such a fine gun as the Scout

I had one for a long time.
It was pretty cool. The built in bipod is a great. the stock has extra storage, it shoots well.
The thing about it is that this is really a hunting gun. They made it such that they stripped every ounce of weight they could out of it, with the thought that you would be carrying it all day and shooting it once or twice a day.

So, I found that it hammered the hell out of me. I could get 2-3 shots out of it before I just had to put it down for the day.
