Anyone have anything to say about Stoeger shotguns? Good, bad, or indifferent? I looked at a 12 gauge semi, camo pattern at Dicks. It was $379, the price seems pretty cheap. Just wondering how the gun was.

Thanks for any info.
Kurt

Stoegers are cheap and made cheaply. When I was shopping for a low end O/U I compared the Stoeger Condor and a Baikal/Remington SP310. The Baikal was a much better choice for the price. The South American products are not close to the quality that the Turkish and Russian products. A good source for reviews on shotguns can be found at http://www.shotgunworld.com

For that price range you can find used a Remington 1100 or 11-87 at Kittery and maybe locally to you.

Those are the prices for their used Remington's. My son called me from there last night and said that the place was jammed with rifles and shotguns.

He also said they had some great deals on winchester 94's.

Those are unreal prices, unless the guns are beat to hell.

I bought a Rem 1100 Skeet gun in excellent condition for $160 about 30 years ago and it was a bargain back then!

Bumping this ooooold thread.
I was given a Stoeger STF3000 for Christmas. This past year was my first ever hunting. Duck, goose, quail and pheasant. This will be my quail and pheasant gun. I've read some reviews and like everything else you get what you pay for (free for me [smile]). I'm sure it will be just fine for this newb though. Looking forward to shooting it soon.

these have gotten a lot better over the last few years. i picked one up on black Friday, i like the balance and fit. for me it feels good. i don't do trap or skeet much so this will work fine for when i do

it is an over priced shot gun but I bought a double barrel 18" side by side. 12ga... It made for a great camp gun that I beat the crap out of ... I shoot it and a shoot it and leave at the campe in hiding... love the thing.. one of many that I shoot the most of

I have a 12 gauge Stoeger coach shotgun I have used a lot in cowboy action shooting, and have had for 10 years, and still shoots great after 1,000+ rounds. Me like.

I bought a stainless 12 ga. Coach Gun about 2 years ago, haven't shot it much, but it is a fun gun and shoots well.
My only gripe is the fit between the receiver and forend iron, it doesn't meet up to form a smooth line on the bottom, the forend iron hangs down below the bottom of the receiver when the action is closed.
I thought it was just mine, but from the other examples I've seen, they all seem to be like this.
But then again, it was far less than the price of a Beretta, Browning or Ruger Gold Label SxS.
