Subway is banning the open carry of firearms in restaurants across the nation

go to jersey mikes instead. IDK or care about their gun policy...their sandwiches are the tits.

Never been there but it sounds like they're good to go...

Which chain is the other one that tripped the libs circuit breakers because the founder/CEO is a big game hunter
and posted a pic of an elephant that he shot?

It's a "request", not a ban. Just like Walmart and many other large chains. It's a change to their policy, which will never been seen by the vast majority of customers.

Does Subway Inc. even own any restaurants? I think they're all franchisee-owned, and many of those are co-located inside convenience stores. When is someone "in" a Subway that is nothing more than a counter that faces the customers?

Here is the real problem:
“The public health challenges that we face, as a nation, due to this global pandemic are great, but neither excuse nor absolve us of our obligation to respond to the related and mounting public safety crisis—posed by the tremendous proliferation of firearms sales—in the making.”
The problem is not with the "safety crisis---posed by the tremendous proliferation of firearm sales". The problem is with de-funding police, releasing criminals, not prosecuting crimes, and arresting people who try to protect themselves...

Anyone here remember the HOWDY's restaurant chain? We had one on Dutton St in Lowell, across from the Giant store, near the new courthouse.
I remember they had the best tasting hamburgers! Unfortunately, they were shut down when it was exposed that the meat was 50% beef, and 50% horse...

They had a Howdy's in Framingham I will second the best tasting hamburger!

But that's why it tasted so good.

Good to know! They are building one up in Hudson, NH a block away from Granit State Shooting Range across from Market Basket and Dunk's...

The Littleton Subway has its own eat in space.

Why would you go to subway when you can get a better sub at any mom and pop pizza joint for about the same price?
This. My local pizza place knows me by name and doesn't ever ask me to wear a mask thru this whole Covid fiasco, and they are Trump supporters and pro gun.
I know who my friends are......Fxck Subway.

To me open carry defeats the whole purpose of carrying a gun.
I don't want the bad guy to know that I have a gun, until I hit
him with a double tap in the middle of the face.

IME, subway is substandard 'food' at best. There were more than a few years where I want to an event up in Maine (no longer taking place after last year's final event) where it was 'catered' by subway. The 'food' was meh at best. Even when you're starvin like Marvin, it's just 'OK'. The last few times I went to the event in Maine (after 2016) I brought my own lunch.

At this point in my life, if subway was the ONLY food option for 100 miles, I'd just drive until there was someplace good.

Look at it this way... Subway is the HF of the food world. [rofl2]

Pretty much sums up their attitude towards us.

So much hate in this thread. Subway does not have the best food but remember they are almost exclusively owned by individual franchisees, ie local small businesses.

I travel about 200 days per year. Subway is an easy go to for semi-edible fast food. Unlike other drive thrus that make me sick, subway holds up ok if you stick the basics.

Looks like we're going back to Chipotle!

This - Don't travel as much but Subway is safe for me to eat and not spend the next few hours waiting to get a 30-second warning. Not too many places to take an emergency dump dockside *.

* - the boats would take serious offense to shitting over the edge even though the enlisted crew would think you were a legend!

place is awesome....they slice the meats fresh when you order right in front of you. All their meats are non hormone, gmo, etc. clean food...subs are big, bread is always fresh. far cry from the gross highly processed shit at subway.

Their italian sub is awesome. Their hot subs are mediocre but all the cold cuts are the tits.

Not sure about my Lowell geography,
but I think they reused the burger chain neon sign?
