I am interested in a revolver chambered for 45 colt and 454 casull. My brother has a Ruger super redhawk and i really liked that, but i'd like to get something different. I'm leaning towards smith and wesson, but i was wondering what else might be out there that would compare in quality.

I dont want a stubby as i'd like it for target and possibly hunting. A medium/longer barrel would be preferred. any suggestions?

What S&W is chambered in 454 casull? My vote is for the Super Redhawk.

I wasn't sure if there was a smith and wesson that was. I really would like one of their revolvers and if they had one chambered for it, i'd be very interested.

S&W 460 will fire 454 Casull and 45 Colt, but my money would be on the Super Redhawk.
There's always the Taurus Raging Bull but you'll have to find one used as Taurus is Persona non Grata in Ma.

I'm going to get the Vaquero soon, which looks like a lot of fun. I don't know about hunting.

I'd like to add something here,why a 454? I can push a 300gr bullet at 1300fps out of my
Rugers a Bisley,Blackhawk and a Redhawk and in all honesty if you can't stop what ever your hunting with that there's something wrong with this picture. Not down grading the 454 but I'm just curious.
