Sununu warns of urban flight; NH to get Vermonted by New Yorkers

New Yorkers are vile rude crass animals Who vote left wing. Just look how they ruined south Florida. they are not welcome here.
You are spot on! I saw it when we visited my MIL in Ft. Lauderdale for the 20 yrs she lived there. I saw it in the 2 young engineers from Brooklyn that I hired at DEC too . . . arrogance was their middle names!

exactly right. and that's what the tons of foreigners do when they come here. They try to replicate what they left and forget that was the reason they left in the first place.

Oh well....what can you do.

This country will completely fall within the next 100 years and it will be done from the inside and sponsored by the government.

I hear on the news that people get lost in the woods and the mountains every day.

I just delt with an inn owner who got hosed out of a grand by some lovely New Yorkers.
They brought a bed bug in a zip lock bag with them and claimed it was in their room.
Nice free week on Cape Ann.
We went in today and tore that room apart. Nothing.
It was either a full refund or they were going to go all over the internet and crucify him with bad reviews.
We know what they did , but you are never going to prove it.
I don't want those f*ckers for neighbors thank you very much.

I fled MA to NH years ago in order to live somewhere with more freedom and more like-minded people who appreciate said freedom. No regrets.
I can't control where I was born and raised. Why couldn't that be the case for someone coming from NY?

because New Yorkers destroyed every place they have gone. Look at Vermont and western Massachusetts. Look at south East Florida. They are vile nasty animals. Massachusetts people on the other hand are New Englanders and most who I’ve met, gun owners and non gun owners are nice Decent people I have yet to meet a new Yorker that is anything other than vile.

Covid has me legit worried about changing political demographics nation wide, but especially here.
In my little town, a friend in the real estate business said houses are frequently on the market for about a week and go for more than the listing price.
There is also a lot of new construction in single family homes going on.
A friend at the town office told me that there are many out of staters moving into town getting vehicles registered, applying for building permits, etc.

If that was so they would have moved there years ago.

I see it in my little town too. I guess covid is just accelerating the inevitable.

I have a friend in Southern NH who got sucked into hard core prepping through fear of an EMP attack about ten years ago.

He bought a cabin somewhere up North - he wouldn't tell me exactly where - and stocked it with a cr@pload of supplies of all sorts. It was going to be his bug-out location.

He went back a month later and.....the locals had broken in and stolen everything.

So think of those unarmed transplant NYers as prepositioned supplies for TEOTWAWKI. :)

The reason that the conservative right doesn't listen to the commie leftists is because everything the left engages in is wrong, unAmerican, illegal, unethical, or otherwise absurdly ridiculous.....and you can pass that message to her from me with great appreciation.
The reason she said that ( and all leftists say that) is because they can never look you in the eye and present a cogent articulate answer or reason for their collective destruction of America.
yup. totally agree. that is why if lefties move to NH from NY in great numbers the political paradigm shifts because they won't listen....

This was 2018.

Interesting, with a couple exceptions almost all “red” states.

I moved to NH because I love NH. I didn't like Texas, or Arkansas, or Louisiana. Nor Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, or other options where we have family, because the politics and laws in those places suck.

NH doesn't suck. NH is awesome!

I moved to NH and ran for office based on a pledge to not let NH suck, and to keep NH awesome. I'm running for a second term, and that's still my goal.

Anyone from anywhere is welcome to join me in that goal, even New Yorkers.

The neighbors from LI had parties in their driveway (they had a deck and backyard) and asked if I would have my scary tall trees cut down if they paid. They wanted the “authorities”to “take care of the Coyote problem” and were mortified when told they could shoot them as needed if in compliance with 300ft limits or neighbors were OK. We said, fine - go shoot them. They moved out.

Maybe the next NYers will be different...
My best friend is from LI. He spotted the listing for the NH house we bought, even though he was still in NY. He's moved since then, living in SW NH, but of all people we know, he always has a bed and a beer waiting here for him. He would get priority over quite a few blood relatives.

I think it is mostly NYC (and its boroughs) that breed the most vile NY'rs out there.

At any rate, I know of one NY'r that I'm proud to call a friend, and that is Rob Boudrie!

Native New Yorkers stop for some hot coffee at a New Hampshire Rest Area along Route 3 above the Nashua Circle... March 30, 2017
"Unfortunately, we had to eat Higgins…" claimed expedition Leader, Col. Gene Hochenberger. "I believe we served him with a dry Rhine wine and of course, couscous"...

The amount of NY plates I’ve seen driving to work in Merrimack this spring is sickening.
The amount of houses I’ve bid on in southern NH that get sold to overbids and waiving of inspections is equally depressing.
The amount of shit I get for posting in the r/NewHampshire sub for looking forward to moving out of the PRM someday is also not leaving me feeling good about the future of the state.
the future Mrs. is finally warming up to Derry but by the time she does, there won’t be property left to buy.

Hope you're talking about East Derry. Derry is going down hill

That presumes that the people fleeing urban areas are incapable of cogitating on the reasons why they are picking up their lives and moving as well as the root cause of what made their home a piss hole.......

This is the message that we should be pushing......you win peoples hearts/minds by enguaging in discussion......not by cracking them over the head with a bat
At first, they are capable of recognizing why they are leaving, but soon they seem to forget or they never really understood how their previous State became a sh*thole. It always starts small; "Where I come from, someone would pick up the trash every week, let's get rash pick up" - and your taxes go up a little. "Where I come from we had ...." - and your taxes go up a little more.

Over a decade later all those small changes that seemed fairly insignificant at the time add up and when you look back you are surrounded by Karens, your taxes increased 60%, they are in the middle of voting for a new school worth $350M and you are looking at another tax hike. Don't worry, soon the FD and PD will get new HQ as well worth over $100M each.

People don't think long term.

I'd think the average NYC resident is aware of how shitty the city is but not how it got to be that way. Wouldn't most of them prefer to move outside of the city but still in NY rather than pulling up stakes and landing in NH?

I dont think a lot of people grasp how the average urban liberal sees places like NH. My liberal sister in Cambridge would saw off her arm with a bread knife before she'd move up there.

The house in back of our ours in Salem sold this spring for 10k over asking. $410k on what I would have reservations paying over $360ish. The new owners are probably mid twenties and flaming libs. The first month after they moved in, I was out grilling and heard a loud rant from the women expressing how healthcare is not treated as a “right”, yet you can have a f***ing gun! Made me have that pit in my stomach feeling about our state’s future.

What I don't understand is people are fleeing NY for NH only to turn it into the very thing they left! Same thing happened when people left Mass for NH. They have been turning blue for a while. Now NH is the live free not so and die poor state.
Northern NH is the bluest part of the state. Always has been. Just like VT, it's been liberal on cultural issues for a long time and conservative on other issues. As we saw in VT a few years ago, all it takes is a little push of these lifetime resident liberals to start banning crap like normal-capacity-magazines and the like.

Yep. all NY'ers are tools. All Floridians are either Cuban, pirates or blue-hairs. Everybody in Nevada works for a casino. And claaaaahm chowdaahhhh runs in the veins of mASSachoozians.

Excepting some minor cultural things and driving styles, you'll find the same people from sea to shining sea.

THIS! And this is why Congress is dangerous. NH. MA. USA. They incrementalize the death of a nation. Hell, there are things I'd LIKE or maybe even AGREE with that I'll fight against b/c it's a first-step into an eventual disaster.

How did we get from poor farms 120 years ago to "we gotta give everyone $2,400 per month or they'll all die!"??? (Thank you, Ed Ice-Cream Markey!). Incrementalization.
