So, having a little trouble here. I have a Super Match M1A, unknowingly to me, they take a different stock then the normal m1a. This is due to a block in the rear lug

What is the purpose of the rear lugged receiver?

To better fix the receiver in the stock which adds to accuracy.
Ah, okay. I've had to make heavy modifications to the stock I purchased just for it to fit. I was hoping that the block was unnecessary.

I'm never for modifications of the actual gun, but it's frustrating, thank you for the clarification.

The rear lug is it give more and better contact to the bedding, which will make it last longer. Bedding the receiver to the stock improves accuracy. If you are installing a lugged receiver into a stock without bedding, you have paid for a feature you are not using. Basically taking a step backwards.

ugh, would love a super match ,
I just have to [slap][slap][slap][angry][slap][slap]
Why are you changing the stock. Please tell me it broke from excessive match shooting
I pray its not a old Glen Nielson build
