Supreme Court - NYSRPA v. Bruen - Megathread

Get it out of your head - they are NOT going to take the House and Senate back. It's going to be a Donk romp... in furtherance of both The Great Reset and the humiliation of the American electorate.

Many - even Ann Coulter etc and NESers like @Hoover - have put forth the proposition that the 2020 election was NOT stolen via cheating, but Cuz Trump. There will be no such excuse in 2022. They're going to steal it, and they're going to rub your noses in it.
Stuffing battleground state ballot boxes
in high-density Donk dumpster-fire metropolises
with high-density Donk poll workers
to win the Electoral Collage
is a different proposition from cheating on literally hundreds of
district races where voters are white-hot p¡ssed-off at the party in power.

How different from:

- Crafting a novel coronavirus and setting it loose causing a pandemic?
- Demanding medical professionals ignore demonstrably effective prophylaxes and treatments (e.g. vitamin D) and demonizing others (e.g. Ivermectin) to drive the body count - and thus fear factor - up?
- Moving infected patients in with vulnerable populations to do so even more?
- Coercing most of the population into taking demonstrably ineffective and unsafe "vaccines" against same.

And then:

- Engineering the patently obvious theft of the 2020 election, which despite the statistical evidence, the thousands of pages of sworn affidavits of eyewitnesses to shenanigans, the screwball printed ballots, the documented problems with the machines, the after-hours counting, and then THE VIDEO EVIDENCE of mules, counting-room horseshit, ..., has not only been allowed to stand but emboldened states to pass even more audacious laws to enshrine it.

"Hundreds of district races?" Pffft.

As I keep pointing out, even New Hampshire STILL hasn't done anything of consequence about election integrity.

DIdn't read the whole thread, but here's what I expect NY to do: per Robert's and Kavanaugh's concurrence, NY will pass laws redefining "sensitive" spaces as any mass transportation, any sports or artistic gathering, the sidewalks, any retail store, etc. While no court likes such a stick in the eye, it will take years to litigate and unwind and slow walk. Nothing will change for a long time.

...meanwhile - and certainly if they jettison Roe - the Donks WILL pack the court.

They might try to. But the opinion made it clear that would not be allowed. Nobody here is saying more litigation won't be necessary, but yesterday's opinion and its reasoning makes it MUCH easier to rein in tyranny in the future. It was a big step in terms of returning us to what the Founders intended on 2A. It wasn't perfect, but we'll be reaping the benefits of Trump's picks and Thomas' reasoning for years to come.

And typical Commie Tyrants, the DOJ thinks it can ignore the SCOTUS. The DOJ has no respect for the rule of law. Garland and Mayorkas need to be impeached and removed from power but will the RINO's do that when they take the house and senate back?

I think you're overestimating the abilities of the upcoming Congress. Even if they weren't RINOs, they wouldn't impeach over this. Impeaching a cabinet member is super-rare.

This blog post from our most prominent 2A attorney and advocate is specific to what is happening in Pennsylvania but has broad application. I understand people are skeptical but the folks arguing these cases at FPC are incredibly optimistic. This guy has a long record of big wins for PA.

Did you guys see the fear-mongering that has already started? Reading NY Gov wants to classify all cities as specilty spaces when Thomas said that such broad classifications are out of order:

Politicians are saying whatever they can say to save face, secure the base, reassure their donors, and sound woke.

Their words matter less than their actions. Hochul is scrambling to sound like she's relevant in a world where she very much isn't. She'll comply, just like the NYC borough presidents. Kicking and screaming.

They're all up in arms over it, and making their statements on Twitter, etc.
I have to wonder how much is just theatrics for the base/sheeple to consume vs. them actually believing they can defy the SC. I think more the former.

Let's hope her case becomes the first to be blown up by the courts, thus becoming the most cited and referenced decision on the subject, ensuring her name lives on forever in infamy in the anals of American history.

...and the line forms in Honolulu...

Under current Hawaii law, gun owners must keep firearms in their home but can transport them to firing ranges if they are unloaded and locked up. After the Supreme Court decision, those rules are likely to be overturned.

For now, the HPD says its permitting for firearms is unchanged.

But lawyers for gun owners say that could change as early as next week.

The Ghost of Donald Trump is haunting the Dems and we must thank Cocaine Mitch for denying a hearing to Garland. Trump will be in the Dems heads for 20 years or more. I'm watching Fox and seeing these old DB's and these castrated men having breakdowns is wonderful to watch. Why are men pro abortion? Good little lefty pukes? What an embarrassment. Elections have consequences, right Barry! [rockon]

Love this:

"That said, because any permit- ting scheme can be put toward abusive ends, we do not rule out constitu- tional challenges to shall-issue regimes where, for example, lengthy wait times in processing license applications or exorbitant fees deny ordinary citizens their right to public carry."
