were in the market for a house and the wife doesn't know but one of the major factors i am looking at is ability to add a additional space under the house to be a gun room / bunker

For $750K, that's tremendous value. With a private plane nearby, someone could bug out there on an hour's notice. Of course, a family-sized plane will cost just as much if not more.

It's extra for the runway.

Component Pricing Breakdown

• Silo & Cabin complex on 19 acres: $750,000 (minimum purchase)

• Log Home on 4 acres: $259,000

• 10-Acre runway lot with 42’x46’ hangar: $125,000

• All 7 lots (approx. 8 acres each): $476,000

• Phase II 125 undivided acres west of silo home: $150,000

Still a great deal, even if it's in NY. COME ON POWERBALL!

I'd spend the money buying the gun store in northern NH instead. Income, things to do and permanent bugout.

I wonder how much the maintenance on one of those silos is.

I don't know, but I imagine that you need a huge sump pump, a massive dehumidifier, and an air circulator. I saw an ad for one of these a while back, and the sale terms said something about how the buyer was responsible for dealing with the 20 feet of water in the silo.
