SW M&P 40 Upgrade Recommendations

Hey all, I plan to do a APEX trigger job on my SW M&P 40. Maybe night sights?

• Can anyone recommend any other upgrades?
• Any good gun smiths close to Boston to get everything installed at a reasonably price?
• Is it possible to get a MA legal highcap mag for SW M&P40?

I appreciate any and all advise/answers

Night sights are always a good idea, especially if your range is kind of dim. Unless you're a LEO, it's a no on the highcap mags from my understanding.

I purchased the full DCAEK APEX kit and did it myself with some quick hardware store tools and the youtube videos provided by Randy @ APEX. I bought a 3 piece punch set, a soft mallet, some masking tape, and a small ERWIN table vise all for around 50 bucks at HD.

It was my first gunsmithing job but I learned a lot about the firearm with the experience. I was having some issues and got great support from the fine folks here. Good luck!

Get the Apex RAM in addition to the DAEK

Derr does great work. I've got M&Ps with Derr, LaRocca, and Apex triggers. They are ALL much better than stock MA triggers, but I like the Apex the best.

No, not unless you are a LEO or an FFL
