So I picked up an original s&w sigma a few months back for cheap at a gun show. I know these seem to have a bad rep but so far I really enjoy shooting it. Love the weight, sights and feel in my hands, dont even mind the heavy trigger pull. however lately ive been getting some light strikes now and then. I want to take apart the firing pin assembly to give it a good cleaning and change out the springs... My question is does anyone have any tips for getting the end cap off the slide to access it? Its not in the original manual and the vague descriptions ive found online have been no help. The cap seems rather flimsy and I'm afraid of damaging it. Any help would be appreciated.
