I'm continuing my search for a .22 revolver. I thought I'd run out and pick up a Taurus 94, since I'm happy with the 66. Too bad when I got my hands on the 94 it was nothing like the 66, I'm not getting one. I've done alittle more research and hooked into the Taurus 970 Tracker. This pistol, unlike the 94, is built on the larger frame and(so I've read) has the excellent trigger of the larger revolvers(the size and trigger, I dispised on the 94). I want to get my hands on one asap. Anyone have experience with the 970 Trackers?

It's probably just because no one actually has any personal experience with them, (don't take that as sarcasm, please.).

I know first hand quite a few folks on this board have very little positive to say about Taurus firearms, but you never know. Give it time, maybe someone will see it who has some experience with it.

Don't despair yet.

And yes, I'm Tim, and I like Tauruses, and large women.[wink]

This board is anti-Taurus...but that is most likely because most peeps here know what they are talking about. [grin]
I just want a decent gun at a decent price.

now, on large woman....nothing wrong with them at all...... BUT like I tell my wife; "I'll live with a bitch, just not a fat bitch"

I'm not sure what "peeps" are, but yes, a lot of the guys on here are very knowledgeable.
I own two Tauruses, and am preparing to give a full range report on the 1911 in the next week.
Standby.......

Sorry, too much time on computer boards

I'm looking forward to the report on the Taurus 1911. That is on of the guns I'm considering for next years purchases

The largest dealer in MA, Four Seasons, had a terrible time dealing with Taurus's customer service with issues their customers had with firearms. Carl, the owner, eventually dropped the brand due to the problems.

For Carl to tell a manufacturer to go take a hike, things must have been pretty bad.

I also personally know a shooter who had one of the .454 Casull "Raging Bull" revolvers break on him. I know for a fact that this guy had never reloaded in his life and probably has never shot a hand load. Taurus refused his warranty claim by telling him that he was shooting over-pressure rounds.

Wouldn't touch them with a 10' pole.

Besides, why send your $$ to Brazil when you have so many USA made guns to choose from?

I have the Tracker in .357 and I love it. The trigger is fantastic, the grips are extremely comfortable and the sights are outstanding.

The revolver has given me zero problems since I've owned it and I'd recommend a Taurus to anyone.

I have a Taurus M66 .357 and feel the same way about it.
