The Gun Industry Created a New Consumer. Now It’s Killing Us.

Good marketing is supposed to generate demand. Bad firearms marketing has given us a national nightmare.

A photomontage from the author’s 25 July 2022 article in The Atlantic about advertising and guns. He’s the guy who jumped ship from the gun industry to the gun control advocacy industry (shareholders are Bloomberg, Soros and some small investors). Was it ethics eating away at Busse or a better paycheck? Hmmm…I read that the FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products Holman just jumped ship to Phillip Morris.

Does gun industry advertising make mass shooters? No. They have to have a gun to be a mass shooter and you only hear about the brands that connect to ads that support the lawsuit claims.

4 boxes diner, did a good take on this article. They know they can't come after the guns themselves so they are going to pivot and go after the gun industry through their advertising using an advertising exception in PCLAA. Interesting and I didn't know this but the original idea of the PCLAA came from the pentagon as a matter of national security since they also purchase weapons from the same companies.
